32 Week Bump Update

How far along: 32 Weeks
Gender: Baby boy
Total weight gain: 19lbs!
Maternity Clothes: It’s been crazy hot in Los Angeles, so I’ve been living in flowy maxi dresses. When I’m in San Francisco the temperature has been much cooler, on average 65 degrees, so I’ll usually wear leggings, tanks and throw on a blazer. I’ve bought quite a few maternity dresses that can be dressed up or down.
Sleep: Not too bad, I have been experiencing some back pain but it gets better when I lay down.
Miss Anything: Frizz free hair, I used to religiously get Kertain treatments in my hair at a minimum every 6 months and now that the Kertain has completely worn off of my hair, my hair has gotten really frizzy.
Cravings: I eat a lot of fruit, I used to really crave chocolate before getting pregnant but now I crave it less. I also used to just drink plain water, but now I crave something sweeter, so I’ll sometimes have ice tea or lemonade instead of plain water.
Mood: Tired, I’ve found that I need a break every few hours otherwise I’m exhausted. Kind of reminds me of how I felt my first trimester, where I took a lot of naps.
Best Moment this week: After doing a lot of research I finally decided on the hospital I’ll be giving birth at!
Looking forward to: My baby shower this weekend in San Francisco!
Exercise: Walking daily and that’s about it.
On My Mind: I have a few breastfeeding classes scheduled and childbirth classes. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to taking care of a baby, so I’m looking forward to the classes giving me a little bit of guidance. I’d love to hear any of your thoughts, advice and tips! Since I’m the first out of my friends to have a baby, I can definitely use all the tips I can get.

29 Week Bump Update

How far along: 29 Weeks
Gender: Baby boy
Total weight gain: 16 pounds! I’m definitely predisposed to stretch marks. I have some on my legs from puberty and my mom got them when she was pregnant. So I’ve been using a combination of virgin coconut oil and Pregnancy Boob Tube (Also Khloe Kardashian's go to for firm skin) to prevent stretch marks. No stretch marks so far, so fingers crossed it stays that way!
Maternity Clothes: Some, I’ve switched a lot of my basic tanks and leggings to maternity. My pre-pregnancy shirts have all gotten too short. I love the ones from Leggings from Gap maternity and the tanks from A Pea in a Pod! I’ve honestly been living in maxi dresses, tanks and leggings. I’ve given up on trying to wear jeans, usually I am always cold, but recently I’ve had the opposite problem and I’ve been constantly hot.
Sleep: Awful, I’ve found myself really uncomfortable and I have trouble falling asleep and have been waking up really early. I am glad the nausea has finally disappeared though!  
Miss Anything: Sushi! Sushi used to be a staple in my diet. I would have it at least once a week. Also being able to work out at the intensity level that I used to. I was so nauseous my first trimester that I didn’t work out at all.
Cravings: Fruit, specifically peaches and watermelon and fries. I feel like I’m in that phase where I’m hungry all the time, literally every 2 hours.
Mood: Nervous! I guess having the baby still has not fully hit me but now that there are only 11 weeks left, it’s really hitting home and the whole labor process really scares me. I’ve been watching Youtube videos about people’s labor process and it seems to be a huge hit or miss in terms of how long or complicated it can be.
Best Moment this week: I felt the first hiccup; at first I was really confused. I guess the best way to describe it is, it feels like I swallowed a clock and it is constantly ticking in my stomach.  
Looking forward to: Baby shopping, I’m finally starting to compile lists. I had no idea how much stuff I’d need. 
Exercise: Besides walking daily, exercise has pretty much been non-existent. I’ve tried to go to the gym but get winded so fast that I’ve just given up. My back has been in a lot of pain from all the excess weight. I’m hoping the fatigue will fade soon, so I can hit the gym again!
