Silk Pants

I'm seriously so obsessed with these pant's, they're so comfortable and seriously feel like pajamas! The best part is they're on sale! Also loving this top that is so perfect for summer, it's a super soft cotton and is machine washable (sooo important when Nathaniel likes to use my shirt as a napkin) It also looks great with white shorts!

I went a little crazy during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, below are my favorite sale picks! Soooo many cute things for summer.

Forever 21 Picks

Summer is definitely upon us in vegas and I'm embracing the hot weather. Last summer I was uncomfortably hot because I was pregnant and basically lived in maxi dresses. This summer I have a little more freedom with my wardrobe. I've been obsessed with rompers and crop tops with maxi skirts. Honestly my two go to combos!

I have the maxi skirt in the first row, and just ordered it in taupe as well. I also have the floral wrap crop top in the first row and love it, it's so versatile. Looks perfect with a long maxi skirt or shorts. I've been loving bodysuits, I just ordered the suede one in the 3nd row and the black one in the 4rd row. They look so cute coupled with pencil skirts for a night out. Of course also loving all the maxi dresses! And can we talk about the sandals, they're so simple yet classic.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

9 Month Baby Update

Can you believe Baby Nathaniel is already 9 months old? Time really flies; it seems to have gone by so much faster then my pregnancy, which seriously felt like it lasted a lifetime. It’s crazy that Nathaniel is already 23 pounds, and starting to cruise on furniture. He has figured out how to stand up on his own without support; looks like he’s on his way to walking soon.

I’ve been quite lagging in my blog posts mainly because Nathaniel requires so much attention these days. Now that he’s standing and crawling it really changes the game. I have to watch him constantly so he doesn’t get himself into trouble. He loves getting into stuff, especially anything that’s not one of his toys. Also due to my travel schedule it’s been hard to sit down and get these posts done. I’ve done quite a few flights with Nathaniel now and I’ll do a blog post on traveling with a baby soon.

Likes:
- Talking to himself in the mirror
- Attempting to roll/crawl off the bed (scares me heck out of me)
- Bathtime, he’s such a water baby
- Raw veggies, this is kind of a weird one. If I give him a stalk of celery or zucchini he’ll be entertained for hours, and will somehow eat the whole thing.
- Food, pretty much everything except bread
- Other kids, he wants to play with everyone
- Kai, who is still a little scared of him, but is finally warming up
- Still loving music. He is usually such a busy body, but if I put on the empire soundtrack he will sit still for 10+minutes
- Crinkly things, chip bags, bottles basically anything that’s not a toy

Dislikes:
- His car seat, I think because the weather has been heating up, he gets way to hot. I’ve transitioned out of this infant car seat and into this one.
- If we start eating without him at dinner, he freaks out
- Confined spaces, hates his playpen except for short periods of time
- Eating to close to his bedtime, he’s such a good eater during the morning and throughout the day, but once it hits five, he will pretty much spit out anything I give him
- His own toys. He wants to play with anything that’s not for him

Products I’ve been loving:

Blender – I just find this so much easier to use then baby blenders because there are less parts. I don’t make food especially for Nathaniel; he’ll usually just eat what we’re eating. So if it’s something hard, I’ll just throw a little bit in the blender.
Lotion – I actually have been using this myself for years, and Nathaniel has super dry skin so this has been a lifesaver. I find baby lotion not rich enough and his skin is still dry after
Bottles – After trying a brunch these are hands down my favorite
Toys – He LOVES these and I can put him in a box filled with them and he’ll be entertained, mainly throwing them out of the box
Clips– These are amazing, I’ve been using them for a while and can’t believe I haven’t shared. They’re perfect for throwing your handbag on or bags while shopping

All about the food
Standing Monkey
Eating after a swim
Nathaniel loves these
Nathaniel has a fascination with ceiling and fans
Play with Kai. Excuse his messy shirt, he ran to Kai midway through his meal

My Promise to Nathaniel

When Pampers and @Walmart reached out to me to share my #MothersPromise, it really got me thinking.

I started this blog towards the middle of my pregnancy as a way to prevent myself from going stir crazy. But it has now turned into a way to document all of Nathaniel's milestones. Time flies so quickly and new milestones literally come up on a day to day basis. It has been great being able to document these milestones on here and to be able to look back and see how much Nathaniel has grown in the past 6 months.

My #MothersPromise is to document and remember every single day of Nathaniel's life. Which is easier said then done. I make a conscious effort to snap pictures and videos every day to capture even the most mundane moments.
I also promise to give Nathaniel the very best which is why I use Pampers Premium diapers. I've loveeee the wetness indicator and they're so soft on the skin and breathable, they're also hypoallergenic, Nathaniel has never had a diaper rash! and fingers crossed it stays that way. They also have a unique absorb away liner and extra absorb channels, so no leaks. They can be purchased at Walmart.com

For all you mom's out there what promises do you have for your kids?

6 Month Baby Update

I can’t believe the little one is already half a year old! Baby Nathaniel has started crawling and I already miss the stationary days ;) He’s quite fast and zips around; I can no longer leave him on the bed. The biggest milestone this month would be that he’s finally eating solid meals. Before this it was more just to have a taste of different foods. I’ve also started him on swim lessons, which he loves. I feel like Nathaniel has seriously gotten huge in the past month. He’s now in the 90% percentile for both weight and height. He's now 28 inches long and 20 pounds 10 ounces. He was only in the 30% percentile when he was born.

Likes:
- Blowing spit bubbles
- Food, I have yet to find something he won’t eat. I’m so happy he’s such a good eater.
- Fascinated by other children, he will stare at them all day.
- Avocado, I give it to him at every meal
- His feet, he's obsessed with them and is always grabbing them.
Dislikes:
- being left in his play pen for too long, and he definitely lets me know
- purees, he’d rather eat soft foods that are in chunks

I’ve pretty much stopped breastfeeding. I’m happy I’ve made it to the 6th month mark. However since I had multiple bouts of mastitis, I’m more prone to it. So I wanted to stop before Nathaniel got teeth. He’s quite aggressive when he eats and I definitely do not want to get bitten.

Products I’ve been loving
Pack and play – OMG this is seriously a life saver especially now that Nathaniel is crawling. It’s also sooo easy to break down, literally you can do it with one hand.
Bibs – I like these better then the cloth ones, they don’t stain and they’re much easier to clean.
Jumper – Nathaniel loves jumping in this, especially in front of a mirror. I’m also still using this walker
High Chair – I purchased this and use it daily, it’s a little pricer then some of the highchairs out there, but I feel like it’s definitely more stable. Nathaniel gets super excited when he eats so I was scared he'd tip the high chair over If my d├ęcor was more modern I would of gotten this one.
Food Blender – I started using this to blend foods that won’t get soft even from steaming such as asparagus
Baby food – I’ve been using these if I’m on the go with Nathaniel and can’t feed him solids. He loves them and will usually eat the whole package. I also got these so I can make my own!

His first time at day care!
I love this jumper, it's a great way to keep him entertained and tires him out
Still refuses to wear shoes. Thank god the weather is getting warmer
A typical meal for Nathaniel. Chicken, cheese, avocado, eggs and sweet potato
 Love this walker
This little one is always hungry
 Best pack and play ever
They're finally getting comfortable with each other
This 18 month onsies my husband got him at the US open last year finally fits

5 Month Baby Update

This is what Nathaniel actually does with the lambs ;)

I’ve been working on this for days, but every time I sit down to start writing this Nathaniel wants me to pick him up. I think this 5-month period is my favorite so far. Although I’m sure I’ll say that about every month. Nathaniel is now 27 inches and 19lbs. He’s getting super heavy so my arms are constantly tired. I feel like I’m getting an all day arm workout ;) I also finally started working out again. I’m almost back to my pre-baby weight and haven’t worked out at all until now.

Likes: - Standing up, but since he can’t do it on his own, it means I have to be constantly holding him up (quite the arm workout)

- Listening to music, R&B is his favorite; he loves the soundtrack of Empire
- Pulling on hair, weather it’s my hair or our dog’s, he sure does not discriminate
- Babbling, he’s trying so hard to talk, it’s adorable
- Napping in his car seat. He literally falls asleep the minute I put him in. Definitely makes shopping easier
- Sitting at the table and eating with us
-Eating his fingers, he will suck on his, and if he can reach mine he’ll stick those in his mouth also, but still not a fan of the pacifier

Dislikes:
- Sitting up and falling over
- Wearing socks or shoes. He always pulls them off or kicks them off.
- Clothing that is too tight; hence I’ve been dressing him in 24-month pj’s, which seems crazy since he’s only 5 months.
- I started solids at 4 months and he still hasn’t been a huge fan. Whenever I feed him he spits most of it out.

I’m still breastfeeding but I’ve stopped pumping. I plan to stop breastfeeding at the 6-month mark, so I’m slowly weaning. I try giving him at least a bottle of formula a day. This one is his favorite so far!

New Products I’ve been loving
Walker - My little one lovesss this walker. He’s not quite able to walk forward just backwards
Steamer/Blender - I love this baby food maker
Spoons - These spoons are great! They change color if food is too hot.
Play Mat -I use this play mat on the daily. Nathaniel loves all the colors. It keeps him amused for at least 20 minutes at a time
Pj's - I love these they're so easy to take off and put on and I just size up for a better fit. (They also carry them at Costco) I used to get the one's from carter's but found that after 9 months, the arms and legs were wayyy too tight.

Future billionaire with current billionaire ;)
Nathaniel loves shopping at Chanel with me, so many colors
I have serious lash envy, I wish my lashes were this long
 Big chair, small human
Nathaniel wants to play with Kai so badly, but Kai is still scared of Nathaniel

Net-a-porter Sale Picks

I went a little crazy during the Net-a-Porter Sale. I was browsing and found some great outfits and never thought to order Nike's from Net-a-Porter. Definitely some great motivation for working out for the new year. Below are my favorite sale picks.
